About One Planet Thinking

Realising One Living Planet Together. That is our mission.

Since the early 1970's humanity has demanded more than our planet can sustainably offer. The One Planet Thinking program actively encourages society to collaborate on a fundamentally new approach for living and working sustainably within the interconnected systems of our planet.

Are you a company aiming for relative sustainability improvements versus the past? We have something more meaningful for you. The One Planet Thinking approach creates a normative framework for using, sharing and governing natural resources without threatening the viability of critical Earth systems.

Are you working in the financial sector, government or scientific world? You can lead the change as well. One Planet Thinking engages governments to institutionalize the planetary boundaries and fairly allocate resources and the safe operating space. As well as the scientific community, financial institutions, consultancies and NGOs to monitor progress and to continue developing models and methodologies needed to support business and governments on their One Planet journey.

One Planet Thinking is powered by the WWF network, in partnership with IUCN National Committee of the Netherlands and others (among others Eneco).
