About NOVIMAR - home of the vessel train concept
NOVIMAR researches a new system of waterborne transport operations. In the NOVIMAR vision, future waterborne transport operations on short-sea, sea-river and inland waterways can be performed by vessel trains. Such a vessel train will consist of a number of vessels, the lead ship and individual ships with reduced crew or remotely controlled. The consortium involved contains 22 partners: logistic operators, industry, public bodies and research organisations from seven EU and two associated countries.
