About New Collegium

We fully embrace the primary meaning of collegium: a gathering of individuals with common interests in which each member is equal. New Collegium is united by a fascination with baroque music and instruments, and motivated by the wish to communicate with modern audiences. Great music in great company! ​ Since our foundation in 2006, we have been known as Collegium Musicum Den Haag; we’re moving forward as New Collegium. In this way we connect 18th century origin to our 21st century context and are better recognisable to our international audiences.
