About NAL Human Rights

At NAL Human Rights Consulting, we help organizations and businesses navigate the human rights and compliance challenges of working in Central America. Rooted in local realities and guided by international standards, NAL bridges the gap between global principles and on-the-ground implementation. We work with NGOs, companies, and international partners to promote ethical, sustainable, and rights-based operations in complex environments.

Founded in the Netherlands by human rights lawyer Daniel Olmedo, NAL draws on extensive regional experience in El Salvador and across Central America, combining practical legal knowledge with a deep understanding of local contexts and institutions.

Our services include Human Rights Due Diligence, Risk Assessment and Context Analysis, Compliance and Policy Development, Strategic Litigation, Training, and Research. We help our clients align with international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

We believe that promoting human rights is not only a legal or ethical duty — it is also a path to trust, transparency, and long-term sustainability. Through tailored analysis, capacity building, and collaboration, we support organizations in making responsible decisions that strengthen both their mission and the communities they serve.
