Mythos Consultancy was founded by psychologist Michiel Thissen as a private psychological service. He works across a diverse range of emotional health issues and significant life events: including addiction, anger, anxiety, burnout, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, isolation, phobias, relationships, self-esteem, self-development, stress, trauma and work/career related problems. He can identify the most fitting approach from a variety of techniques such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Regulation, Psychoanalysis, Schema Therapy and ETF couples therapy.

Clients are from international, creative and commercial environments. ​

If you decide you could benefit from talking to Michiel Thissen, your process will begin with a general consultation free of charge. You can discuss your issues and background history with him, establish the focus of your treatment, and decide together how many sessions you would benefit from. You will then normally meet him on a weekly basis.

Mythos Consultancy is located in Baarn. A cosy small village about 30 km from Amsterdam, about 20 km from Utrecht or Almere and about 10 km from Hilversum or Amersfoort.
