About Mukomeze Foundation
The Mukomeze Foundation improves the conditions of life of women and girls as well as men and boys who survived different forms of sexual violence during the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda of 1994. In the national language of Rwanda, Mukomeze means “empower her/him”. The purpose of the Mukomeze Foundation is to positively impact the lives of these women/girls and men/boys by attending to their physical, psychological, material, social, economical and spiritual needs in order to contribute to their “empowerment”.
