About Monks Coffee Roasters

Monks Coffee Roasters is a small, independent specialty coffee roastery based in Amsterdam. We've been roasting since 2016 — first as part of a café, now as a roastery pure and simple.

The café is gone. The coffee isn't.

We source green coffee carefully, roast in small batches, and work with a deliberately select group of wholesale customers — offices, cafés, restaurants and boutique hotels — who care about what's in the cup. Every customer deals directly with Patrick, not a call centre.

We also sell direct to home customers through our online store, with fresh-roasted bags delivered across the Netherlands. And we run regular coffee classes at the roastery — from espresso basics to an introduction to roasting — for anyone who wants to go deeper.

We're not trying to be the biggest roastery in Amsterdam. We're trying to be one of the best.
