At the Mompeo International Film Academy (MIFA), we help filmmakers from around the world learn the craft, find their voice, and bring their films to life. Founded by writer–director Adrian Bol and based in the medieval village of Mompeo, our academy blends real-world filmmaking experience with a uniquely immersive creative environment.

We believe filmmaking is more than technique. It’s clarity. It’s courage. It’s vision. And it grows best through connection and authentic guidance — not empty motivation or generic online courses. Our mission is to offer filmmakers a place where craft is taught with honesty, where creativity is renewed, and where community truly matters.

🎬 Free Filmmaking Foundation Program Accessible to all filmmakers, anywhere in the world. Learn directing, screenwriting, story development, and no-budget filmmaking through practical, experience-based lessons.

📝 Personal Mentorship For filmmakers seeking feedback, direction, or help with their screenplay or project, we offer optional one-on-one guidance and group coaching.

🏰 7-Day Castle Writers’ Retreat A boutique, immersive experience hosted in the ancient castle of Mompeo. Only four writers per retreat, designed for deep creative progress, clarity, and renewal.
