Misiconi is een inclusief dansgezelschap gevestigd in Rotterdam. Onder leiding van choreografe en artistiek directeur Joop Oonk maakt Misiconi voorstellingen met een gemixte groep oftewel dansers met en zonder beperking. De voorstellingen spelen in theaters en op festivals in binnen- en buitenland.

Daarnaast geeft Misiconi in de eigen studio's dans- en bewegingslessen aan voor de inclusieve gemeenschap georganiseerd en biedt met residenties jaarlijks diverse theatermakers een plek.

Misiconi heeft een unieke methode ontwikkeld om dansers met beperking op te leiden tot professionals in de podiumkunsten. Joop Oonk is pionier op het gebied van inclusiedans in Nederland en werd genomineerd voor de Innovatieprijs Nederlandse Dansdagen in 2021.

Misiconi is an inclusive dance company based in Rotterdam. Under the guidance of choreographer and artistic director Joop Oonk, Misiconi creates performances with a mixed group of dancers with and without disabilities. The performances take place in theaters and at festivals at home and abroad.

In addition, Misiconi has dance and movement classes for the inclusive community in its own studios and offers inclusive theater makers a place through residencies every year.

Misiconi has developed a unique method to train dancers with disabilities to become professionals in the performing arts. Joop Oonk is a pioneer in the field of inclusion dance in the Netherlands and was nominated for the Innovation Prize Nederlandse Dansdagen in 2021.
