Meliora Medical is a MedTech startup developing and commercializing a technology platform to treat spinal disorders, such as Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD).

Currently, Meliora Medical are focused on the advancement of the Zenith -C, the next generation of Cervical Total Disc Replacement, co-developed by Prof. Dr. Keita Ito.

What makes the Zenith -C different from previous Cervical Disc Replacement (CDR) designs?

When Prof. Dr. Keita Ito and his co-developers researched spinal arthroplasty, they found that current (CDR) designs are based on large joint arthroplasty, despite the spine comprising of multiple joints in a segmental column rather than one large joint. In contrast, the Zenith -C was created using a unique biomimetic design, copying the structure and behaviour of the natural spine more closely than any other cervical disc replacement has ever done before it.
