Architecture is not about standard practices and paradigms and surrounding yourself with architectural formalisms - form without content and meaning. Instead it is about developing a heterogeinity on the basis of the socio-cultural framework. To form contextual relations and associations are more than uncritically to continue ideologies which are no longer valid; more, than just to ‘copy and repeat’ and by this lose all contemporary referencing. Instead it is a relating to the contextual characteristica and the dynamics and spatial conditions whereto a new structure is planned and developed and through this develop an architectural-contextual interaction, which can only be found at this particular place. Architecture is by definition 'un-finished' - open and readable; architecture stimulates and incites a subjective interpretation and perception - as interactions between subject and object/performer; a dissolution of the boundaries of the passive and active, hereby creating an interaction between the two. A theatre audience 'completes' the performance through the individual interpretations and perceptions - they are made consciously aware of the existence of a meaning and structural coherence on the stage before them. Likewise, the performer cannot act without the 'existence' of an interactive counterpart; a 'fluctuating membrane', an ever changing surface relative to the factors affecting it and equally surrounding it. The performance in itself cannot exist without this continuous interactive relationship - and likewise architecture. Architecture is a folding of the inner and outer senses, and of perception and subjective interpretation.
