MAKEA

About MAKEA

Welcome to Makea — a grassroots, values‑driven concept company where doing things differently isn’t a slogan, it’s our foundation. We believe small ideas can spark meaningful change, and we’re here to nurture the niche, the new, and the not‑yet‑understood.

Our current focus is building an ethics‑first online environment, including a social platform designed to feel safe, human, and intentional. We’re exploring how technology can support real communities without the noise, pressure, or extractive design that dominates mainstream platforms. Creating a safe online space is at the heart of what we do.

Makea is fully internet‑based and works online as much as possible. Our approach is flexible, human‑centered, and shaped by a commitment to ethical design and inclusive collaboration. We’re a small team with a balanced mix of women and men, reflecting our gender policy and our belief that diverse perspectives create better, more thoughtful technology.
