Maartje Strijbis is an Amsterdam based portrait- and (conceptual) documentary photographer. She works on transmedia stories concerning desire for isolation, sublime natural experiences, mythology, rituals and boundaries where humans and nature meet. Maartje is also available for inspiring commissioned work.

Maartje is intrigued by people, their habits and environments. Due to a broad field of study she works interdisciplinary and with a sharp eye for analytical observation as well as practical creative input. Portraits are her strength.
