LipoCoat is a Dutch biotech company specialized in ‘bio-inspired’ coatings that improve the safety, comfort, and performance of medical devices with a focus on health and nutrition. Our pipeline consists of discovery and (pre-)clinical programs in the medical device and drug discovery space. Our ambition is to become a leading biotech company dedicated to improving health and well-being through the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel surface solutions.

Features of the patent-based LipoCoat coating technology: • Anti-fouling for proteins and bacteria; • Hydrophilic and lubricious; • Non-thrombogenic; • Regeneration and self-healing; • Tunable chemistry; • ISO 10993-5 testing; • Applicable to a wide range of (bio)materials; • Bio-inspired and only 5 nanometers thick.

In the past few years, LipoCoat has won more than 20 awards, competitions and grants, including 'European Biotech Startup of 2019' and 'Best Medical Device Coatings Company of 2020'.
