Limestone Books is dedicated to art publishing and contemporary art, with a collection of titles that promotes non-western-centric perspectives, underrepresented voices, and the diasporic community. We start with a selection of books by the members, who come from various backgrounds and disciplines, and it will continue evolving through the collaboration with artists, designers, writers, and publishers. The platform seeks to push the boundaries of what art publishing can achieve in contemporary art discourse. How can publishing actively engage the public? How can readers re-imagine the future through the collection of books? How far can the power of messages go through physical publications? Can artists use books as materials for their art creations? How can the collection of books be changed through a series of interventions and disruptions? The platform wishes to investigate the questions through exhibitions, artist talks, film screenings, and participatory events.
