The complex challenges of building a sustainable and circular society can only be solved through collaboration. At the LDE Centre for Sustainability, researchers and students from Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam join forces with businesses, governments, NGOs and citizens. Together, we build communities where science and practice come together to create circular solutions.

We focus on three major challenges in the region of South-Holland, the Netherlands: • Sustainable industries • Sustainable cities and regions • Sustainable horticulture

In our communities, scientists, students and partners from across sectors and disciplines collaborate on themes such as repair and reuse, green healthcare, plastics, regeneration, sustainable horticulture and a just climate transition.
