Lectoraat•FM at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences focuses on developing and sharing practice-based knowledge on sustainable workplaces, inclusive environments, and vital communities. Through interdisciplinary research, we connect research, education, and professional practice, contributing to both business innovation and societal impact within the field of facility management. Our work is structured around two key research lines: 1. Inclusive and vital work and living communities 2. Sustainable workplaces and processes

We position facility managers as key change agents in transitions related to sustainability, wellbeing, and inclusivity. In close collaboration with industry partners, students, and researchers, we co-create and test solutions in Learning Labs, translating research into real-world applications. In doing so, we contribute to the development of future-proof organisations and sustainable, inclusive environments where people and communities can thrive.
