LEAD Through Connection

The idea of Lead Through Connection was born on summer 2019 on Lesvos. There, I (Dona) provided workshops on leadership skills and personal development to the refugee community as well as to the Greek community. The great impact and positive feedback I received for my work inspired me to think big - I want to create more spaces for real human connection and empower as many people as possible to find their inner strengths and realise their dreams.

If you had asked me five years ago who I am, I would have stood staring at you very confused. Who am I? How can I introduce myself? What do I like? I had no idea what my interests are. Because of my experience as a refugee I had lost my identity, so I found it difficult to talk about myself. I didn’t find my story interesting to tell. I couldn’t communicate well. It sounds so far from me today.

Today you can ask me about my life journey. I love nothing more than telling my personal story and how it turned from a painful story into a beautiful inspiring one. And it’s my superpower that I want to offer to other people, especially women.

Lead Through Connection has trained more than 1000 people over the past 4 years. My team and i are very proud of that. We have a diverse team of the trainers and we are ready to give the trainings in different languages such as English- Dutch- Farsi- Greek
