Labóratoire Noire is a small, independent, multi-disciplinary design laboratory which specializes in graphic design, editorial design, typography design, fashion styling and other conceptual more contemporary art and installations with a hint of monochrome avant-garde aesthetics. We focus on projects within the fields of design and culture and work on a wide range of disciplines such as retail, product, installations, film, photography and branding. Driven by passion and modest curiosity, we practice from a concept focused vision with an aim to create visually powerful, unique and surprising progressive work that is forward thinking and stands out of the crowd in this ever changing world. The Utrecht based studio is founded by Hajo van de Kuilen, a Dutch Graphic Designer, Typographic Designer and Visual Stilist. • Ontwerp werkzaamheden voor diverse (internationale) opdrachtgevers binnen de Fashion, Branding, Fine-art, Illustratie, (mode) Fotografie en designwereld zowel commercieël en cultureel, het zelfstandig ontwikkelen van visuele identiteiten, on- en offline publicaties (boekontwerp, print en digitaal), editorial campagnes, fashion styling, front-end development voor websites en digital.
