Founded in 1999, KM Yachtbuilders was built on over 30 years of aluminium yachtbuilding experience. Under the direction of owner Eeuwe Kooi, the company has grown into a modern, innovative yard—where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge design, and where every yacht is built to explore the world’s most demanding waters.

We specialize in the construction and finishing of fully custom aluminium sailing yachts—robust, reliable, and designed to go anywhere. Many of our yachts are built for high-latitude sailing, where performance, safety, and self-sufficiency are critical. From the Arctic to the Antarctic, our vessels are trusted by owners who sail beyond the horizon.

Sustainability is woven into everything we do. Aluminium is not only strong and lightweight—it’s also infinitely recyclable. Our in-house production reduces transport and waste, and we constantly seek ways to minimize our environmental footprint, without compromising on quality or capability.

Alongside full new builds, we also fabricate aluminium hulls and components for motor and sailing yachts up to 30 metres, as well as complex structures for offshore and onshore use. Renowned yards such as Royal Huisman and Feadship De Vries rely on our precision and craftsmanship.
