Kids for Kids Gifts connects these two worlds and let children in the Netherlands see: “Giving is more fun than getting!” “But how does that work?” Kids for Kids Gifts makes giving very easy for children on the other side of the world. You are personally linked with a kid of the same age in a developing country. We give them your gift so that they can spend on what they would like to have or do. You will get a post with a personalized photo and story of the kid to whom you have given your gift. As a memento, you will also receive a beautiful bracelet from the country of the kid. We will then spread these photos and stories through social media. In the same way, you can also share this wonderful experience so that everyone can see how great it is to give. What we find important: To give – In a fun way, Kids for Kids Gifts wants to show children in developed countries how much they have and how great it is to share those. At the same time, Kids for Kids Gifts helps children in developing countries with financial means to do what makes them the happiest. To connect – Children in the Netherlands are connected with their peers in a developing country. They are in contact with children from the other side of the world and see exactly who have received their gifts and why it is important to them. To create awareness – What kind of gift would make a kid on the other side of the world happy? We take this question to basic schools’ children in the Netherlands. We will discover the answer after the handing out of the first batch of Kids for Kids Gifts. Will the perception of the children in the Netherlands match those of the children's wishes over there?
