Jv. 't Waeske is a bar where young people starting from the age of 14 can come together every wednesday and friday. It's a non-profit society which is being managed by a board. This board consists of a number of volunteers, all no older than the age of 25. Jv. 't Waeske, commonly known as 'the basement', was founded in 1964 by a small group of volunteers. Since that day Jv. 't Waeske has been a popular alternative for the bars and disco's in the region. Alongside the board, Jv. 't Waeske is being supported by another 12 volunteers who occasionally work behind the bar and make sure the guests become their beverages.
