About Jean Monnet Network on enforcement of EU law EULEN
EULEN is an initiative of nine European universities: Utrecht University, Bocconi University, King's College London, University of Bonn, University of Castilla-La Mancha, University of Deusto, University of Luxembourg, University of Warsaw and University of Zurich.
The consortium was funded initially by the European Commission and these nine partner universities in 2019-2023 (ERASMUS+ scheme). The work of that project network focused on at least four policy areas, namely competition law, banking and financial services, migration and asylum, and PIF. At the same time, three horizontal themes were addressed, roughly put 'effectiveness vs. the rule of law', 'uniformity vs. diversity', and 'law enforcement in the era of technological innovations'. Beneficiaries of EULEN included bachelor and master level students, PhD students, academics, officials from national and EU institutions, organisations and agencies, practitioners, professionals working in NGOs and societies at large.
The network continues its work via monthly blog posts on eulawenforcement.com and annual conferences. It is coordinated by dr. Mira Scholten from Utrecht University.
