About JACCU

Japanese Art & Culture Centre of Utrecht is a non-profit cultural organisation based in the city of Utrecht. We offer a centre for gathering, practising, researching and continuous learning, where we welcome both Japanese and non-Japanese art & culture enthusiasts.

Our mission is to unite and support the organisations, initiatives, artists and practitioners who are representing and nourishing Japanese art and culture in the Netherlands.

Our core values are “mastery”, “fellowship” and “approachability”. With these values in mind, we are partnering with local organisations and individuals to co-organise and facilitate language courses, martial arts trainings, traditional arts & craft workshops and many other socially engaged activities to provide a rich and high-quality cultural offering, with something to enjoy, experience or practise for everyone.
