nitiators Organization for Human Rights and Democracy known as (IOHRD) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded by highly educated and trained human rights activists and defenders. It is located in The Netherlands, and conducts its main activities in Limburg, The Netherlands

Our mission is to monitor human rights situation in The Netherlands & worldwide to prevent human rights violations. IOHRD pursues two main steps to achieve its mission. First, transform the norms and culture of human rights that enable human rights Initiators(Activists) carry out their missions of supporting & promoting Human Rights & Democracy. Second, build critical mass of exchange agents worldwide — the Breakthrough Generation — whose bold and brave team efforts will deliver irreversible impact on the issue of the time” human rights & democracy.”

Our Goals

Support and promote democracy in a way that would guarantee the freedom of opinion, belief, affiliation, press, competitive elections, respect of individuals’ and minorities’ rights, and the rule of law without any discrimination.

Protect and support the principles and norms of human rights by spreading the culture of human rights in The Netherlands & the world according to the international and regional charters and covenants.

Monitor and eliminate international human rights and International humanitarian law violations whether these violations are committing by a government, a group, or an individual.

Protect human rights defenders and activists through a joint efforts with the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), follow up on the status of human rights activists and defenders, or by any other means.

Encourage and urge the European Member States to adhere to the EU guidelines on torture which was approved by the European Council in 2001 and revised in 2008 and 2012 (Guidelines to EU Policy towards Third Countries on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Pu
