About iGEM MSP-Maastricht
The International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of synthetic biology, education, and competition, as well as the creation of an open community and collaboration. It hosts an annual global synthetic biology student competition, the iGEM Grand Jamboree, in which teams develop projects from start to finish – from coming up with ideas to proof of concept. The projects allow students to put their knowledge to use and contribute to the field of synthetic biology by addressing specific challenges in their communities.
