About i AND solutions

Grand Challenges Europe (GCE) aims to stimulate innovation for global health. We are a fund providing grants and hybrid financing to entrepreneurs and scientists. GCE is focusing on funding promising bold ideas addressing unmet global health needs in low and middle income countries. We believe in bringing together frugal innovation, entrepreneurial people and partnerships to scale-up.

Grand Challenges are a family of 15 national initiatives originated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2003. Grand Challenges Canada is established in 2010 and has created already significant impact for global health (over 10.000 lives saved and over 500.000 lives improved). Grand Challenges Europe has just started on this journey and will work together with all relevant stakeholders to tackle the biggest global challenges in global health. We are currently engaging the ecosystem of stakeholders in Europe consisting of academics, corporate organisations, social ventures, foundations, funders, governments and NGOs
