About Holomicrobiome Institute

The Holomicrobiome Institute integrates fundamental microbiome research across agriculture, food production, healthcare, and water management, recognizing the need for a holistic approach.

Leveraging developments in computation and artificial intelligence, it will model and predict microbiome interactions, accelerating the development of applications such as microbial fertilizers, sustainable food ingredients and products, new diagnostic tools, and safer medical treatments.

The program - funded by the Dutch National Growth Fund - brings together research institutions, businesses, governments, and societal stakeholders. The Holomicrobiome ecosystem will drive innovation in safe and effective microbiome-based solutions.
