Groundbreakers is a dance group from North Holland that focuses on young people in the Netherlands and beyond. Talented artists collaborate to create full productions. You can experience dance, film, music, live performances, interactive projections, lighting effects, and powerful sets. Groundbreakers tells stories through dance, with strong emotional expression at its core. They start with modern dance, but other styles also play a significant role in their shows. What makes Groundbreakers unique is how they blend Eastern art philosophy and aesthetics with Western artistic ideas. The dancers come from Asian cultural backgrounds, and the essence of their dance movements is rooted in struggle, cries, wildness, and nature.
