reen Waters areas of focus are Poverty Reduction, Health, Gender, Environment, Education, Youth, Human Rights and Social Welfare. The main target group is women, keeping in mind that women are the primary care givers to the children. Therefore the values they learn earlier in their lives will benefit the society in many years to come. Green Waters aims to promote gender equality and empowerment of the women by enabling their contribution to household incomes. This will ensure regular school attendance for the children by limiting the necessity of the children having to participate in activities to earn an extra income for the households, when they should be attending schools or do their homework. Education received by the younger generation is an important tool in their adult life and will contribute to overall reduction of increased crime rates, abuse, young pregnancies, prostitution and new infections of STD such as HIV/Aids. Our overall desire is to mitigate the effects of poverty through our projects, by helping local communities gain crucial business skills.
