Our memories of special moments and experiences, our glory days, define us. Alzheimer’s disease causes the brain to shrink and braincells to die. As a result it causes severe loss of memory. However, musical memories are spared in a ‘safe haven’ in the human brain. Glory Days can unlock these memories. Our application measures the impact that music has on the patients mood. Based on these data it will serve new music that may contain other lost memories and emotions. And when memories are triggered, they can be added to the music creating a valuable story that can be used to nudge the patient in the desired emotional mode and improve the chance of connecting with your loved one.
