About Gezelschap Leeghwater

Gezelschap Leeghwater is the study association for and by all mechanical engineering students of the TU Delft. The association was founded in 1867 and this makes it the oldest study association in the Netherlands. With more than 3500 members Leeghwater is one of the biggest and fastest growing study associations of Delft.

One of the goals of the study association is to give a practical addition to the study. This goal is met, for example, by organizing excursions, case studies, lunch lectures, study trips, the biggest technical career event in the Benelux ‘The Delft Career Days’ and a design contest for freshmen. Aside from these activities Gezelschap Leeghwater is always looking for new ways and activities to improve it's service to the mechanical engineer student.
