About Garment Magazine

Since 2004 Garment Magazine is an annual publication by AMFI – Amsterdam Fashion Institute, and a result from the honours program “Independent Fashion Magazines” that was built by Frank Jurgen Wijlens.

Garment Magazine is known for its creative dialogue connecting fashion professionals and new talent, that aim to dream big, celebrate new ideas and shape the future of fashion.

Students of this minor not only dive into the fascinating world of print but also take on roles in the field of Marketing and PR to launch this magazine in an ever-changing media landscape.

Each issue is dedicated to a specific fashion garment as a means to look at sociocultural, technological and ecological movements. All coming to life by the new-gen editorial team through engaging storytelling and gazing photography.
