"Fruitleather Rotterdam’s mission is to provide the world with an eco and animal friendly material. Contributing to a greener and more bio-based future.

When the company was first founded in 2016, our main goal was to find a new use for the large amount of fruit waste. Situated near the port of Rotterdam, large amounts of fruits being imported will never find its way to the consumer. We believe this could change from now on, as it can be transformed into a durable leather-like material suitable for different applications.

What if we did not see fruit waste as a residue but as a valuable starting material? By doing so, we are able to bring a eco-friendly and animal-friendly product to the market.

The two worlds of fruit and leather are combined where the waste of the fruit industry is used to radically change the world of the polluting leather industry."​
