About Fresh Upstream
De stichting Fresh Upstream werkt aan een uniforme, digitale ketentaal in de internationale versketen. Van kas tot kassa, van grond tot mond, van boerderij tot bord: doel is een agrifoodketen waarin alle partijen informatie uitwisselen met eenduidige en toegankelijke standaarden.
Om aan de hoge eisen voor betrouwbare productinformatie van consumenten, handelspartners en overheden te voldoen, worden ketens steeds digitaler. Innovaties volgen elkaar in rap tempo op om voedsel steeds efficiënter, duurzamer en veiliger te produceren. Daarom hebben agrifoodbedrijven behoefte aan betere (online) informatiestromen. Fresh Upstream stimuleert en faciliteert bedrijven om te werken met eenduidige informatiestandaarden, vanuit één databron.
De stichting Fresh Upstream bestaat voor en door partijen in de versketen en is een samenwerkingsplatform van FNLI, GroentenFruit Huis, Frug I Com, CBL, Nevedi, LTO Nederland en GS1 Nederland.
