About Foreign House

Foreign House is an Amsterdam-based agency dedicated to advancing spatial justice in cities. Founded in 2025 by Pınar Balat and Igor Sladoljev, it develops urban strategies and digital tools grounded in multidisciplinary research. It supports institutions, professionals, and citizens in acting toward a fairer and more resilient built environment. Drawing on years of experience in the Netherlands and through international collaborations, Foreign House combines local expertise with an outsider’s perspective to reveal new insights. The agency translates complex urban challenges into spatial prototypes, participatory methods, and civic instruments, connecting theory with practice and opening new ways to imagine and inhabit the just city.
