A straw might seem small, but its impact on the environment is huge. Europe uses 36,4 billion plastic straws per year. To give you an image: these are enough straws to circle around the earth 2.5 times! And did you know that it takes 2 seconds to make a straw, 2 minutes to use and 200 years to decompose into micro-plastics that will pollute our ocean forever?

This is why we as FanSea thinks it’s strange that there is no good alternative to plastic straws yet. We came up with eco-positive FanSea straws: straws made out of seaweed. A product from the ocean, for the ocean.
