The Faculty of Humanities at Utrecht University pools expertise from four knowledge domains: Philosophy and Religious Studies, History and Art History, Media and Culture Studies, and Languages, Literature and Communication. Through our research, we contribute to solutions for urgent societal challenges. Through our education, we train broadly educated, critical and socially engaged students.

We connect our expertise with society through collaborations with government bodies, public agencies, cultural institutions and knowledge partners. Our contribution ranges from policy research to public engagement.
