About Expanded Field Journal

Expanded Field is biannual English-language journal for creative writing and image/text experimentation. Established in 2017, it publishes original and translated fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comics, and other experimental works not easily classified within genre boundaries.

Under the direction of the student-led editorial board, located at the Department of Language, Literature, and Communication at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, it offers an online and open-access platform for the exhibition of works from new to established and national to international writers and artists.
