EURO-WALLET proposes a new, universal and revolutionary pan European mobile payment and banking system based on the use of a regular mobile phone (SMS and/or GPRS), with a dedicated infrastructure that operates completely separate from the PCI`s infrastructure. Europe has called for the realisation of SEPA (Single European Payment Area), meaning one payment solution for entire Euro zone, by which Europe forces local payment schemes (cheques, local debit cards) to become obsolete over time. These local payment schemes (such as PIN in The Netherlands and Bancontact in Belgium) will be replaced by one or more pan European payment systems.
