About Epion Asphalt Epion Asphalt is a start-up franchisor which aims to revolutionize pavement construction practices by introducing the world to self-healing asphalt technology. Epion takes its cue from Professor dr. ir. Erik Schlangen’s foundational research at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. The innovative self-healing technologies he developed can reverse asphalt disintegration and bitumen aging long before pavement functionality and driver safety are compromised. Epion’s core mission is to employ our co-founder’s technologies in order to build the most durable pavement, minimize life-cycle costs and reduce the social and environmental harm caused by the global paving industry.

Expertise and attention to client- and project-specific demands are indispensable to achieve optimal results with self-healing technology. Epion therefore makes an effort to understand its clients and the industries they operate in, bringing made-to-measure solutions wherever they might be needed: in city streets, express- and runways. Epion is a conversion franchise-network, which means only well-established construction firms are eligible to join. An Epion franchise entitles its owner to the continued use of our self-healing pavement maintenance solutions, name & trademarks, unique expertise, advise and support. Franchisees are awarded designated business territories.
