About Empatia by OPORA Foundation
Empatia - Mental Health Program for Displaced Ukrainians, by Opora Foundation
Empatia is a mental health program designed to support Ukrainians displaced by war. Our mission is to provide accessible, culturally sensitive, and effective mental health services for those in need while also fostering professional growth and collaboration among Ukrainian and international mental health professionals.
◁ For Ukrainians seeking psychological help and unsure of how or where to access services in the Netherlands, Empatia offers guidance and direct assistance.
◁ We provide employment opportunities, networking, and skill development for Ukrainian mental health professionals residing in the Netherlands and looking to continue their work in their field.
◁ For municipalities and organisations, we offer expertise in organising psychosocial and culturally sensitive support tailored to the needs of Ukrainians, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.
Our program unites Ukrainian mental health experts with Dutch and international professionals to collaboratively address and overcome systemic, cultural, structural, and linguistic barriers to mental health care.
Together, we are building a community that empowers and heals
