About Ector Hoogstad Architecten B.V.

At Ector Hoogstad Architects (EHA), we design environments that enable people and organizations to achieve their full potential. Working across a wide range of sectors and scales, we create architecture that inspires, performs and contributes to a more sustainable world.

Our distinctive expertise lies in creating environments for knowledge ecosystems—places where research, learning, innovation and collaboration thrive. For universities, educational institutions, research institutes and innovation-driven companies—from ambitious start-ups to established enterprises—we design buildings that inspire creativity, stimulate collaboration, accelerate discovery and help turn ideas into impact. Sustainability and circularity are essential to our work, creating lasting value for both people and planet.

Our team of more than fifty architects, interior architects, engineers, sustainability specialists and project managers brings together diverse expertise in multidisciplinary teams tailored to the ambitions of each project. Led by partners Joost Ector, Gijs Weijnen, Koen Klijn and Chris Arts, we combine creativity, technical excellence and strategic thinking in every project.

As a full-service architectural practice, we support our clients throughout the entire design and delivery process. Whether working in traditional procurement models, integrated project teams or as a total engineering partner, we believe the best results emerge through close collaboration with clients, users and project partners. Every project is shaped through a process of co-creation, bringing together diverse perspectives, expertise and ambitions. The outcome is architecture that unlocks the full potential of people and organizations—creating lasting value for users, clients and society alike.
