About DWH

Founded in 1968 as the Delft Student Workgroup Homosexuality, DWH advocates for LGBT+ rights in the city of Delft and surrounding area. We serve as a meeting place for LGBT+ people four to five days a week, give awareness classes at local secondary schools, have meetups for people newly out of the closet and much more. We work together with other local organisations among which the municipality of Delft and the Delft University of Technology to improve LGBT+ acceptance in the region and provide a safe space for those who need it. All this is done by volunteers, DWH has no employees but has successfully relied for over 50 years on its enthusiastic members to organise its events, run the organisation and advocate for LGBT+ rights.
