About Dutch Hernia Society

The Dutch Hernia Society (DHS) is an expert group within the Dutch Society for gastro-intestinal Surgery (NVGIC) which is associated to the Dutch Society for Surgery, Nederlandse Vereniging voor Heelkunde (NVVH). The DHS represents the interests of all Dutch Hernia surgeons, provides education related to abdominal wall surgery, supports scientific research and is involved in the development of national and international guidelines. The DHS is the official Dutch chapter of its parent association, the European Hernia society (EHS). (http://www.europeanherniasociety.eu/)

Membership of the Dutch Hernia Society: All surgeons, residents and researchers in the Netherlands who are involved in abdominal wall surgery or the related complications are invited to become a member of the Dutch Hernia Society.

There are 2 membership options: 1. Membership DHS and EHS (digital version of the Journal – Hernia included), €90,00 per year. 2. Two-year membership DHS and EHS (digital version of the Journal – Hernia included, the first year €10,00 instead of €90,00.
