Docfest shows moving, poignant, inspiring, emotional, beautiful and funny documentaries. Real stories about real people. Stories that are worthwhile. To share, to understand, to feel, to talk about. The vision of Docfest is entirely focused on creating a festival of a different order. In which people with diverse cultural backgrounds, nationalities and ages come together. Where people get the chance to experience more, meet new people and stimulate their inner curiosity.

Docfest contributes to the dynamics and culture, education, talent development, direct and indirect employment the prosperity in the border region and Limburg. Docfest initiates partnerships in the sector and brings high-quality documentary makers into contact with each other. Docfest also invests in talent development and education and is able to stimulate and retain talent in the environment and even to attract from the outside. The festival puts the regional film industry in the spotlight and contributes strongly to this the renewed image of Limburg as a film province. Docfest also knows - through its social character - to contribute to togetherness and mutual understanding of residents of the euregion. Conversely, these partnerships lead to the embedding of Docfest in the local, Limburg and border regions.
