DFSK is the Dongfeng Motor Corporation. Dongfeng means "East Wind". The company was founded at the behest of Chairman Mao Zedong in 1968 as part of his "Third Front" strategy. The DFSK range of Citytrucks is sold world wide, 240.000 DFM Mini Trucks were sold world wide in 2009 with DFSK have a target of 300,000 in 2010, From March this year the new global name became DFSK having previously been called DFM in Europe and SOKON in other worldwide markets.
