About DECARS - Dutch Expertise Centre for Archaeological Remote Sensing
DECARS (Dutch Expertise Centre for Archaeological Remote Sensing) is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2007 in The Netherlands. DECARS aims at promotion of application of archaeological remote sensing, better education and exchange of knowledge. This is done by organizing symposiums and conferences, where people who are interested in or working with remote sensing in archaeology, can meet. As DECARS is a idealistic non-profit initiative, it was transformed into a foundation in April 2010 and since then DECARS is now officially registered in Amsterdam as a non-profit networking organisation.
