DARE TO TALK, ook wel durf te spreken gaat het taboe onder jongeren doorbreken om te vertellen hoe iemand zich ‘echt’ voelt. Op dit moment kampen veel jongvolwassenen met mentale klachten. Meer dan de helft van de jongeren tussen de 18 en 25 jaar durven niet te praten over psychische problemen, maar dit is slechts het topje van de ijsberg. Volgens het CBS is sinds 2001 het percentage van de mentale gezondheid nog nooit zo hoog geweest. Ook instellingen zoals UNICEF baren zich grote zorgen over de mentale gezondheid van jongeren.
