After several years of working within different utility companies (water, district heating and energy) where we were always confronted with major issues relating to the IT infrastructure of those companies we started to build The Crowd at Work. On the one hand we had to deal with the increadibly complex enterprise software (legacy issue) and on the other hand these systems did not easily or flexibily provide the information we were looking for. So when we came across develops in crowdsourcing we started to investigate possibilities of contecting business processes with external crowdworkers. After having tested this with some utility companies the potential of this solution is unlimited.
